Behind the Wild is the companion series to The Choice — offering a closer look at the bears and stories that shape Yellowstone’s untold frontier. Where The Choice tackles big themes of protection, politics, and coexistence, Behind the Wild slows down to show the intimate lives, personalities, and struggles of the bears themselves.
In Season One, we meet sisters Snow and Jam, each carving her own path on Yellowstone’s edge. We witness the drama of the Feast of the Fallen, as a single elk carcass becomes the center of an ecosystem-wide struggle. We follow G288 and the adolescents, young grizzlies testing boundaries and learning what it takes to survive outside the park.
